Héloïse Werner
French-British soprano and composer Héloïse Werner released her debut album Phrases on Delphian Records in 2022, a recording featuring new commissions by Nico Muhly, Elaine Mitchener, Oliver Leith, and Josephine Stephenson, as well as Héloïse’s own work alongside a selection of Aperghis’ Recitations. The album was awarded Gramophone Magazine Editor’s Choice, Presto Classical Editor’s Choice, BBC Music Magazine Choral/Song Choice, Classical album of the week in The Times and described by Apple Music as ‘a staggering debut from an imaginative and original voice’. Phrases was also selected as one of the Sunday Times 10 Best Classical Records of 2022. As a soprano, Héloïse has recently made debuts with the London Chamber Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and Nash Ensemble. A prolific composer, her recent and upcoming commissions include new works for Radio France, CBSO, Wigmore Hall, Aurora Orchestra, Clare Choir Cambridge, the London Handel Festival, and the Lucerne Festival.
