Alice Olivia Bailey

Alice Olivia Bailey studied Music at the University of Birmingham. As a primarily classically trained musician prior to starting university, they developed a fascination with electroacoustic composition after taking a compulsory module in their first year and this quickly became one of the main focuses of their degree. Their composition methods usually include long field recording sessions and sound walks, taking a portable microphone with them most places in case they hear any particularly interesting sounds that they can incorporate into their music. Alice currently lives in Germany, where they play with a local orchestra and continues to compose in their spare time. They are planning to return to university next year to pursue a Masters degree in composition, with the aim of working as a sound designer.
