Kleine Wanderung by Tim Hopkins
29th April 2021
FilmsVisual responses to music have a rich history of invention and technical experimentation, enhancing the aural experience as well as being fascinating pieces of art in their own right.
Artist, theatre-maker and director Tim Hopkins has tapped into this heritage as he presents a new work, Kleine Wanderung – a film which responds to a string quartet of the same name by John Woolrich.
Kleine Wanderung ('little wandering') combines studies shot in Paris in 2017 with Hopkins's original paintings, and provides a new dimension of listening to Woolrich's music.
