Relive Tectonics Festival 2021

10th May 2021

Films

Tectonics Festival is the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra's annual celebration of new and experimental music that aims to 'to blur musical boundaries and question what music can be.' After 2020's 'archive edition' in the midst of lockdown, 2021 saw the Glasgow-based festival go online for the first time, combining pre-filmed video with live broadcasts to expand the festival's already international reach.

The BBC SSO gave World Premieres of compositions by Liza Lim, Michael Parsons, Cat Hope, James Weeks and Scott McLaughlin, as well as UK Premieres of works by Carola Bauckholt and Øyvind Torvund, among many others.

The whole festival is available to watch online for a limited time – you can explore and re-live the performances below. Don't miss it!
