Corporate Members

NMC Recordings is an award-winning charity dedicated to recording and releasing contemporary classical music by UK and Irish composers.  We fundraise to ensure the finest voices are heard on our albums, whatever their style. By supporting and developing composes through the recording process we know that we make a significant difference to their career development and opportunities.  The label was founded by Colin Matthews in 1988 with support from the Holst Foundation.  From the first disc in 1989 we have crafted a catalogue of over 400 releases that are available worldwide in perpetuity. In the last five years, NMC's releases have received 18 million downloads and streams alongside over 35,000 CD sales in 150 countries worldwide with significant press and industry recognition.

By becoming an NMC Corporate Member, we will work creatively and collaboratively with your business to meet your strategic development goals. We take great pride in creating bespoke partnerships that not only meet your key business objectives and social responsibility strategies, but also play a vital role in impacting the new music landscape in Britain and Ireland. We hope you will join us as we develop this important work.

What we can offer you

Increased brand awareness

  • Promoting our recordings, as well as other resources, is central to expanding our worldwide audience. Through crediting your business on our website and in all physical and digital copy (including album booklets and our quarterly Friends Newsletter) we are confident we can increase your brand awareness, not only within new music circles, but within the arts sector.

Engross yourself in new music.

  • Get to know NMC’s catalogue, receive invitations to album launches, recording sessions at world-renowned venues such as Abbey Road, access to outstanding artists and the opportunity to feature your business in NMC’s quarterly newsletter.

Nurture the next generation.

  • NMC supports upcoming composers through our flagship Debut Discs scheme. We will provide you with exclusive behind-the-scenes content, information about their recording sessions, performances, and any special events. Our non-deletion policy ensures we preserve music for generations to come, and with the support of our Corporate Members, we can continue to nurture the next generation of composers in Britian and Ireland.

Supporting Marginalised Voices

  • The Imogen Holst Fund was created in 2021 to support composers from backgrounds which have been historically underrepresented within both NMC’s back catalogue and the wider classical music sector. The fund is named after NMC’s first Benefactor, and since its formation has raised close to £10,000. Through supporting the Imogen Holst Fund, your business will be able to direct your giving towards increasing diversity within contemporary music.

Educational Investment

  • NMC's education arm enables children, teachers, and schools to work with leading composers and artists from our catalogue, particularly those whose access would otherwise be limited. Your business could have access to naming writes for one of our educational projects – enhancing your brand and CSR/ESG development goals.

Bespoke opportunities

  • We will work collaboratively with your business to align your CSR/ESG goals with NMC’s values of adventure, distinctiveness, and quality.
